MODA
MUSEUM OF DESIGN ATLANTA
[ "we want more design, atlanta." campaign]
Museum of Design Atlanta is the only museum in the Southeast devoted to the study and celebration of design.
Our objective is to shift and solidify MODA's perception by earning the support and involvement of professional designers
in Atlanta, as well as drawing all individuals who have a keen sensibility for design attention.
[the insight]
We appreciate the end product more, when we understand the process behind it.
[the manifesto]
Design.
It’s a lot like love.
Sometimes, if you’re lucky, it’ll hit you at first sight.
You’ll see that painting which, for some inexplicable reason, moves you.
Or that building… that twists and turns in such a way that just makes you think…
“Damn, that’s freakin’ beautiful.”
And that’s fine.
But like love… design is a moving, twisting, ever-changing thing.
And it deepens the more you know it. The more you understand it.
It’s the difference between loving someone’s smile…
And knowing how to make them smile.
Between that first, sudden, inexplicable infatuation…
And that silent unbreakable bond developed over time.
That’s where the magic lies.
In the ticks, the shapes, the missteps and quirks—
that’s when we realize it’s about so much more than just falling in love.
It’s about creating—building—making love.
The end result may be beautiful…
But the process… that’s what’s truly fascinating.
That’s design.
It’s one thing to just look at it.
It’s another thing entirely… to understand it.
So let’s understand it.
Let’s move beyond design being something we want…
And turn it into something we make.
Atlanta…
Let’s make more design.
